Introduction to Operating Systems - Internet Sections

Before you can begin this course you must have the software, and the files, installed. No matter your experience level please do not try to install this software yourself. Ivan Santana is in charge of the tutoring lab. His e-mail is isantana@cis.sac.accd.edu. Contact him immediately for an appointment to install the necessary software and files. As soon as the software, and files, are installed e-mail me at skolars@cis.sac.accd.edu.

Discussion list: To subscribe to the discussion list for this class:
1. Compose an e-mail to majordomo@cis.sac.accd.edu
2. Put anything in the subject line.
3. On line one of the body of the e-mail put: subscribe 1305i
4. On the second line of the body of the e-mail put: end
5. Send the e-mail.
6. You will receive an e-mail from the majordomo system stating that someone, perhaps you, has tried to subscribe to the list.
7. In that e-mail there will a line that says "auth". This line will have a long number on it.
8. Copy this line. 9. Compose an e-mail to majordomo@cis.sac.accd.edu
10. Put anything in the subject line.
11. On line one of the body of the e-mail paste the line you copied in step 7.
12. On the second line of the body of the e-mail put: end
13. Send the e-mail.
14. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from majordomo.
15. You are now subscribed to the 1305i list.
16. To send an e-mail to the list, compose an e-mail to: 1305i@cis.sac.accd.edu
